Use this training material and template to facilitate great prioritization workshops.
It is used to use Weighted Shortest Job First (WSJF) with relative comparison.
Use the Fibonacci sequence to compare items in each of these categories:
User-business value – users preference? What is the revenue impact?
Time criticality – user/business value decay over time? fixed deadline? Will they wait or move to another solution?
Risk reduction-opportunity enablement value – does it open doors? reduce the risk of a future delivery? value in the information we will receive? enable new business opportunities?
Job size: how big the work is?
After this calculate WSJF = CoD/Job Size. And now you have a objectively prioritized list of items.
